Independence Township Supervisors

The Board

One thing that they all have in common, which many residents may not know, is that they do this for the love of their community.  They do it without compensation, even though they are allowed to take one.  The position takes time, effort and money.  The reason they do it is simple, to secure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the township and they take their job very seriously.

Security Area Rep and Wayne is very visible and involved with Township events.  He is a member of the Community Center Committee and is our cook for our Township events.  Wayne also works part-time for the Road Department when needed so you may see him plowing in the Winter or patching in the Summer!
